The slogan "It’s Not a Glitch, They’re Just That Good" ties into the campaign by emphasizing the high level of skill in the NHL, while also playing with the retro video game theme. It acknowledges that some of the unbelievable plays seen nightly all over the league might look like glitches, but they're actually a reflection of the exceptional talent of the players.​
